You probably sense you have a deeper purpose in life. The challenge is to find your purpose and then live it. By doing some soul searching and exploring, you can let that genie out of the bottle. You can express your unique genius. You can make a difference.
Here is a way to explain life purpose: it is finding your gifts and passions and letting that lead you to your contribution. We explain this “life purpose formula” in our video Marketing for the Spiritually Minded #1: Life Purpose.
Your purpose is part of your big picture, what you’re here to do. You can get a vision of your purpose. You can also get a calling or mission. This calling can translate into many different activities to fulfill your purpose. Your purpose may deepen over time, and the ways you pursue it are many.
It’s important to set your intent to find and live your life purpose.
Our purpose is to help others live their full potential and make the world a more unified place. It translates into us teaching, writing and coaching with holistic practitioners and those who value aligning with their life purpose. Particular offerings like our Coach & Healer Telecourse Certification Program align with our purpose and we love doing it.
REVEALING STATISTICS
A 2007 Gallup survey found that the United States has 27% of its workers feeling a strong emotional bond to their work. Yet that leaves about ¾ who do not like their work.
Within that 27% of those who like their work, you could subdivide people into three categories:
1. those who enjoy their jobs
2. those who see their jobs as part of a long-term career
3. those who follow their calling (life purpose).
So how do you join that group of those finding their calling? The life purposers find work becomes timeless, feel like they’re making a difference, and align with their spiritual development.
EMBRACING YOUR PURPOSE
Part of the process is facing and overcoming fears? What if I can’t find my purpose? What if it doesn’t work? I might fail and go broke?
Here are some important pieces to living your life purpose:
• EFT and Spiritual Kinesiology are powerful energy healing techniques to overcome these common obstacles.
• It’s also about finding your strengths and strategically using them.
• Perhaps the starting place is to do some soul centering and ask questions about your purpose.
Some people may want help to guide them through this important process. We sometimes coach people to get clear about their purpose and their next steps.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
So what is your purpose? How much could you accomplish? Do you realize that you can have an extraordinary life and make a difference?
Much of the answers lie dormant, hidden behind unconscious blocks and programming. Know that you can set yourself free.
Create Your Spectacular Life… On Purpose! by Integral Coach John Jones adds some other complimentary perspectives on this subject.
Many have already sprung forward on their path or are making steps in that direction. To us, living your life purpose is getting the most out of life.
As you make progress on your life purpose and all that you have to offer, the world becomes a better place, too. Keep believing in yourself and moving forward.

Two things happened in the last year.
First my children’s dad passed away after suffering 3 successive strokes within 3 weeks and the second significant event was the celebration of my 50th birthday.
Initially i thanked God for finally taking this man out of my life and said it was my second chance and then i celebrated my birthday and really started thinking about the kind of person i had allowed myself to become and how this had hindered my life’s purpose.
Now, I no longer thank God for taking my (ex-husband) and children’s dad out of my life instead i value the gifts that came with that relationship, the most important being my beautiful children.
And so i have being re-thinking my life’s purpose and while i believe i am not quite fulfilling my purpose the confidence and commitment and the joy of being here to live that purpose is re-emerging and with it the realisation that all this is possible with the love and grace of my higher power. It is through this higher power that i connect to my purpose and my sense of direction.
There is no place for visiting that place called regrets only the value of the moment. And hopefully i pray that i fulfill my most important purpose which is to be an example to my children and my grand-son.
Because whatever else i do and whoever else i do it with and for is a bonus and it really will not matter how great my outside accomplishments are if i am not perceived by my children as being an example of living life graciously, with love, joy, a sense of purpose and gratitude.
Thanks Lavonna for sharing. Your journey into fulfilling your life purpose is inspiring.
The subject of life purpose brings out the best in ourselves, almost by definition of what we are talking about (life purpose or calling). Keep up the great work. You are becoming a role model for more than just your family.
