Does your brain freeze when you turn on your computer? Do you suddenly get fatigued and crossed eyes when the computer screen lights up?
Here are some other symptoms that indicate you might have troubles with technology.

How many of these describe you:
• Your body tenses up when you think of managing email, navigating the web or hearing the latest technological trend
• You feel overwhelmed by the ongoing increase in technology
• You fear/dislike advanced technology or complex devices, especially computers
• You feel technology has passed you by
• You have brain fog hearing about the latest Social Media development (what is social media anyway?)
• You’re waiting for the Internet to go away and have the world return to normal
In addition, we get physical symptoms from computer aversion, ranging from shortness of breath, perspiring and nausea. Probably many of us feel some of the above symptoms at times without experiencing full-blown technophobia.
SOLUTIONS
As web writer Charlie Bailey explains, “a computer is just a tool, much like a screwdriver or an electric drill. People have to be taught to use tools safely and correctly, and a computer is no exception to this rule.” He also compares a computer to a filing cabinet, using a different format than physical drawers to file things.
Technology is here to stay and rapidly advancing. So let’s look at some other ways to deal with it successfully.
• Set goals for which your computer can be an assistant. When you have a goal in mind, it’s easier to focus and organize.
• Do small steps regularly. Learning a little bit of technology weekly; over time it adds up.
• Get technical support. Our web host, hostgator, has 24/7 help to answer questions. You can also hire help with website implementation at places like elance.com and rentacoder.com. Also consider hiring the local college or high school student to help you.
• Clear internal blocks. We use EFT and Spiritual Kinesiology to often quickly clear negative attitudes, such as technophobia. In our Getting Thru to Your Soul DVD 2, we have a demonstration of helping a lady who had a long-time resistance to computers. After the Spiritual Kinesiology process, she saw computers as her friend and ally.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Not only is technology here to stay, it offers incredible opportunities. The 21st century can be integrated into your natural rhythms of daily life. It may take some planning and assistance, but the benefits far outweigh the
challenges the way we see it.
Technology and the computer can help you research, build a business and enhance your life in so many ways. It has too many connections and influences to cower from it. Find a positive symbol to associate with your computer and technology, like a treasure chest or gold mine.
Find ways to let your brain clear out and refresh… or reboot.

I live in Chapala Mexico. I have paid people to help me set up my computer and show me how to use it.
A waste of money. There are many advantages to living here and in many ways it’s like living in the stone age. I can learn anything but I do need a competent teacher.
I will try your suggestions for getting help online. Thanx!
Justyn,
Getting the help you need is essential. Doing it alone doesn’t work very well. I know you can get the support you need.
