Chance comes to thows of us who are best prepared!! In life when the time is right things will happen, most of the fun of a journey is getting there, the excitement and learning is while on that journey. The end resolt is a new understanding of who we are, and what are abilities are, this will help build resolve for the next!

Thanks Samantha for your insights.

When I get into overwhelm, I try to slow down and breathe. Collect myself.

That's also why connecting with your larger purpose and goals is so important. They are a compass to keep you on track.

It's good to have some meaningful personal affirmations to reference in those confusing times, too. Such as "what am I learning now?" "It's working out and I am still succeeding. This is my success path."

Hi Drs. Phil & Jane,

Thanks for this post. It brings up lots of thoughts, one of which is how often we make ourselves miserable believing things should be a way they are not. Down here in the South we call that "shoulding all over yourself" (have to say it aloud for full effect). ;)

I wonder also about the power of perspective versus the myopia of the moment (what you call soul witness). And certainly there is the issue of faith or trust - believing that things will in fact work out. I don't know that a lot of people have that going for them right now. Times are tough.

I'm looking forward to part 2.
