On our Heart of Success Blogtalk radio show this week, we discussed with Dayana Jon Patterson about how to “stand in the center of your life.” This is all about coping with stress and life balance.
A Senior Minister of Holistic Healing and Founding Member of the Awakenings Institute, Dayana is a Charter Member of the Heart and Soul of Success Academy. In addition to her own considerable wisdom, Dayana channels or “merges” with a wise being called AMAG.
Here are some highlights from the show on coping with stress and life balance to help achieve the heart and soul of success:
* Recognize your skills and abilites. Write them down. And make the list longer than 3 or 4 items!
* Many service professionals burn themselves out. It’s caused by serving others’ needs at the expense of their own.
* Set reasonable expectations for yourself.
FANTASTIC CIRCLE BALANCE EXERCISE
Here’s a phenomenal and easy excercise Dayanna shared with us. To come into balance, imagine a circle. With whatever issue you are facing, see where you find yourself in the circle.
Bring yourself back to center. From the center you can be balanced.
Come to the center of the circle, the empowerment point, which also brings peace. Whenever you are challenged, return to the center of the circle.

I love the circle exercise in the post. Trying it out, even now while writing this comment, puts me in a good, balanced place.

Dayana has a lot of wisdom and presents it in an unassuming way, so you might not realize it right away. Her insights are practical and profound.
